Blizzard isn’t going to spoil all the fun three months early. This is the perfect amount offered for a beta as Diablo 4 is going to be a massive game and the true meat and potatoes will happen later on in the game. You will be able to play the prologue and the entire first act of the game. The open beta is only going to give you a taste of what Diablo 4 will have to offer. Weekend 2 will be for everyone to give the open beta a try. If you haven’t pre-ordered Diablo 4 or do not plan on pre-ordering Diablo 4, you can wait till the weekend after.
Pre-ordering Diablo 4 is the only way you are going to be granted early access to the beta. If you chose an Xbox or PlayStation console as your platform, you will be emailed a download code closer to the open beta date that can be used to download the Diablo 4 open beta. When you reach the website, you will see a spot that says, “Redeem Code.” Once you have inputted your code, you will be asked to choose what platform you will be playing on.
If you pre-ordered Diablo 4 and are trying to get early access to the open beta, you will need to take the open beta code you received when pre-ordering the game and redeem it on Diablo’s website.
